In this paper will be introduced a procedure for monitoring of the intelligent networks services. The procedure described here is based on the service independent building block (SIB) control flow graph of the service. For this, the service independent building blocks will be represented as vertices and logical inputs and outputs as directed arcs of a digraph. For realization of online monitoring an algorithm SETEVENTS for placing event functions in the IN service will be presented. The event functions can be activated in the real-time system and generate a minimized quantity of trace data. A second algorithm RECONSTRUCTFLOW takes these data and reconstructs all control flows of a service. The results are then evaluated using the SIB control graph. This method allows a significant reduction of the number of monitored events, because of the optimal placing of event functions. For example loops and branches are represented only once as event points and still the complete control flow can be reconstructed.
