Abstract

The aim of this text is the exploration of today's situation of smartcard technology and a proof of concept and test of usability with a special smartcard programming framework: SMARTX. The structure and mechanisms of PC/SC, OCF and SMARTX (all of them smardcard software products for the PC-sector) are described. The development of a demonstration program based on SMARTX is described. Finally the results of the proof concept and test of usability are presented.

Kurzfassung

Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Erkundung der aktuellen Situation in der Chipkartentechnik sowie die Überprüfung des Kozepts und der Anwendbarkeit einer speziellen Chipkarten-Programmierumgebung: SMARTX. Der Aufbau und die Funktionsweise von PC/SC, OCF und SMARTX (alles Chipkartensoftware im PC-Umfeld) werden erläutert. Danach wird die Entwicklung eines auf der Basis von SMARTX erstellten Demonstrationsprogrammes beschrieben. Zum Abschluß werden die Ergebnisse der Untersuchung vorgestellt.
